WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
The RPS and Golf Performance Academy pathway is designed for dedicated junior golfers seeking year-round improvement within an integrated academic environment.
Whether a student-athlete’s goal is to compete at the collegiate level, improve tournament performance, or develop within a structured training environment, the Golf Performance Academy provides a comprehensive pathway that combines elite golf training, academics, and personal growth.
Full-Time Student-athletes receive:
- Full-PDI Assessment: Precise diagnostic evaluation to map your specific physical, mental, and scoring strengths and growth areas.
- Long-Term Individual Development Plan: A custom training blueprint built directly from your assessment results, ensuring every rep drives measurable progress.
- Clinical Sports Psychology: Dedicated mental skills training led by a licensed clinical psychologist to build real-world course management and emotional control.
- On-Course Play: 2-3 days of structured on-course application per week to translate practice adjustments into lower scores under pressure.
- 5x/Week Physical Conditioning: Targeted physical training, including customized corrective exercise protocols to fix movement limitations and increase power.
- Daily End-of-Day + – + Reflection: Every practice ends with accountability. Student-athletes complete a structured + – + log in CoachNow detailing what went well (+), what was a struggle (-), and what to focus on next (+) to lock in daily growth.
- PACE Performance Tracking: Coaching staff scores athletes daily (0–5 scale) on Performance, Attitude, Coachability, and Effort (PACE)—delivered via a monthly report. While performance varies, attitude, coachability, and effort are 100% within the athlete’s control through eagerness, discipline, and receptivity.
- Tailored Tournament Planning: Custom tournament scheduling recommendations strategically built around each athlete’s individual development and goals.
- College Recruiting Guidance: Comprehensive recruitment advising and premier access to Junior Golf Hub—GPA’s sister company and the leading online community for player profiling, tournament planning, and connecting directly with college coaches.
- Academic Support: Comprehensive academic oversight and support—including personalized tutoring as needed—to ensure student-athletes balance high performance on the course with success in the classroom.
Admission into the golf pathway is selective and based on evaluation through the Golf Performance Academy.
THE GOLF PERFORMANCE ACADEMY DEVELOPMENT MODEL
The Five Elements of Success
The Golf Performance Academy’s training philosophy is built around five interconnected elements that influence long-term player improvement and competitive performance.
Success in golf is not determined by technical skill alone. The Golf Performance Academy evaluates and develops each athlete through a comprehensive model designed to support measurable progress, personal growth, and collegiate readiness.
Desire
The foundation of long-term success. The Golf Performance Academy works with student-athletes who demonstrate commitment, accountability, coachability, and a willingness to embrace the training process.
Coaching
Individualized coaching, skill refinement, short-game refinement, on-course strategy, scoring improvement, and tournament preparation delivered through structured training plans.
Physical
Strength, mobility, stability, power, recovery, and injury prevention designed to support athletic performance and long-term success.
Mental
Focus, confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, decision-making, and competitive preparation for tournament environments.
Equipment
Equipment evaluation and optimization to ensure each player has the tools necessary to support their development and performance goals.
A Measurable Approach to Development
The Five Elements of Success provide the framework for the Golf Performance Academy’s player development process. Coaches use this model to evaluate strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, and create individualized training plans for each athlete.
This structured approach helps student-athletes understand where they are today, what they need to improve, and how to build a pathway toward their long-term goals.

STUDENT LIFE
Development doesn’t stop when class or training ends.
Student life is led by the RPS Student Life team, which supports student-athletes during the hours outside of academics and sport. The team provides structure, supervision, and opportunities for athletes to connect, explore, and enjoy their experience away from the classroom and golf course.
BEYOND THE DAILY SCHEDULE
Student-athletes have opportunities to participate in:
- Weekly Activities & Outings — Organized activities that give athletes time to connect and experience life beyond campus.
- Weekend Trips — Planned trips and experiences throughout the year.
- Community & Connection — Opportunities to build friendships with student-athletes from different sports, backgrounds, and countries.
- Dedicated Student Support — An RPS team focused specifically on supporting athletes outside of their academic and athletic schedules.
The goal is to create a well-rounded experience where student-athletes have the support, community, and opportunities to enjoy life outside of school and sport.
Golf Boarding School Experience
The RPS boarding environment supports athletes academically, physically, and emotionally. Families seeking golf boarding schools appreciate the structured environment and supportive culture.
