What Differentiates RPS Tennis Academy From Other Academies

A Structured Academic and Tennis Pathway

Our program is intentionally built for athletes who require:

  • Cognia-accredited independent school with a Cambridge International curriculum and NCAA-approved core courses
  • Coaching built on the Gabe Jaramillo System — the methodology behind 11 World No. 1s and 27 top-10 professionals
  • 10–12 hours of weekly on-court training across 30 hard courts (24 lighted) and 6 tournament clay courts
  • Individualized development plans spanning technical, tactical, physical, and mental training
  • 5+ hours of structured match play and intelligent tournament scheduling across USTA, UTR, and ITF Junior Circuit events
  • College recruiting guidance toward NCAA Division I, II, and NAIA programs
  • Full-time boarding with 24/7 residential staff and structured accountability

Unlike seasonal clubs, RPS delivers a full-time tennis academy supported by professional training, experienced coaches, comprehensive performance training, full-time education, residential life, and character development.

Who Is This Program For?

RPS Tennis Academy is built for dedicated junior players seeking year-round, high-performance development — from athletes preparing for USTA, UTR, and ITF competition to college prospects targeting NCAA rosters.

BOYS & GIRLS TENNIS ACADEMY

Boys and girls train side by side within one unified academy, with coaching, on-court hours, and tournament scheduling built around each athlete rather than a one-size-fits-all program. Whether the goal is a Division I roster spot or a deeper run at the next USTA event, every player follows a development path shaped by their own game.

Full-Time Benefits Include:

  • 10–12 hours of weekly on-court training plus 5+ hours of structured match play
  • 3–4 weekly strength and conditioning sessions
  • An individualized development plan built on the Gabe Jaramillo System
  • Technical, tactical, physical, and mental training integrated into every week
  • Strategic tournament scheduling across USTA, UTR, and ITF Junior Circuit events
  • College recruiting guidance and NCAA placement support
  • Small-class academic instruction with AP, Honors, and dual-enrollment options
  • Full boarding with study hall, dining, and weekend community activities

Admission into the tennis pathway is selective and based on evaluation.

The RPS Tennis Academy Development Model

The Five Elements of Success

RPS Tennis Academy’s training philosophy is built around five interconnected elements that influence long-term player improvement and competitive performance.

Success in tennis is not determined by technical skill alone. RPS Tennis Academy evaluates and develops each athlete through a comprehensive model designed to support measurable progress, personal growth, and collegiate readiness.

Individuality

Every development plan is built around the player, not a fixed curriculum

Volume + Repetition

Hours on court translated into technical precision

Periodization

Training loads structured across macro and micro cycles

Intensity + Focus

Every session run with purpose and full attention

Variety + Purpose

drills, live-ball patterns, and match play combined so no two weeks look the same

A Measurable Approach to Development

The Five Elements of Success provide the framework for RPS Tennis Academy’s player development process. Coaches use this model to evaluate strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, and create individualized training plans for each athlete.

This structured approach helps student-athletes understand where they are today, what they need to improve, and how to build a pathway toward their long-term goals.

STUDENT LIFE

Development doesn’t stop when class or training ends.

Student life is led by the RPS Student Life team, which supports student-athletes during the hours outside of academics and sport. The team provides structure, supervision, and opportunities for athletes to connect, explore, and enjoy their experience away from the classroom and golf course.

BEYOND THE DAILY SCHEDULE

Student-athletes have opportunities to participate in:

  • Weekly Activities & Outings — Organized activities that give athletes time to connect and experience life beyond campus.
  • Weekend Trips — Planned trips and experiences throughout the year.
  • Community & Connection — Opportunities to build friendships with student-athletes from different sports, backgrounds, and countries.
  • Dedicated Student Support — An RPS team focused specifically on supporting athletes outside of their academic and athletic schedules.

The goal is to create a well-rounded experience where student-athletes have the support, community, and opportunities to enjoy life outside of school and sport.
