RPS Academies is different.
We are an independent, accredited, college-preparatory private school for grades 6–12, built intentionally around the lifestyle of high-performance student-athletes. Accredited by Cognia and a Cambridge International School, our academic model goes beyond traditional private and public schools. Every element—from daily structure to curriculum design—is optimized to support the athletic-academic balance, allowing students to pursue excellence in sport without compromising academic rigor or long-term opportunity
Our Elite Academics program emphasizes:
At RPS, academics take place in the morning, when focus, energy, and cognitive performance are at their peak.
Athletic training follows in the afternoon, allowing students to transition fully into high-intensity physical work once academic demands are complete.
Because our athletes regularly travel for USTA, UTR, ITF tournaments, Soccer showcases, Golf tournaments, and Volleyball competitions…
…we created a supportive academic model that includes:
RPS Academies is not just a sports academy—it’s a college-preparatory boarding school for athletes committed to high achievement.
The culture reinforces:
Everything at RPS Academies is built on our three-pillar foundation:
We develop critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders.
Students learn how to analyze information, articulate ideas, and apply logic to both academics and sport strategy.
We challenge each student through rigorous curriculum and personalized support.
We focus on reading, writing, comprehension, math, science, and real-world application—ensuring mastery at every level.
We integrate athletic performance with academic discipline.
Sport teaches resilience, focus, teamwork, and goal-setting—skills that directly enhance academic performance and life success.
RPS Academies’ Elite Academics program delivers a robust and adaptable curriculum that prepares student-athletes for top universities.

Connect with our admissions team todayMost traditional schools—and even many sports academies—are not designed around the demanding schedule and needs of competitive athletes. Students often struggle to balance training, travel, rest, and education. At RPS, the academic structure is built specifically for student-athletes. This means smaller classes, individualized learning plans, flexible scheduling, and teachers who understand athletic commitments. The curriculum meets rigorous college-prep standards, but without the rigid, inflexible structure of a traditional school day. Unlike many programs, RPS integrates academic support directly into the athlete’s daily routine, including tutoring, study hall, digital learning access, and personalized guidance. This ensures athletes can train at elite levels without sacrificing educational quality, academic progression, or college readiness. Our model provides what most institutions cannot—true balance, structure, and individual attention that empowers athletes to excel in academics and sport equally.
Travel is a natural and essential part of an elite athlete’s development. Because our athletes often travel for USTA tournaments, soccer showcases, golf competitions, or volleyball invitationals, RPS Academies created a travel-friendly academic model. Teachers provide assignments in advance, allow remote attendance through digital platforms, and offer makeup sessions upon return. Students can stay on track using online coursework, virtual tutoring, and structured catch-up strategies overseen by academic advisors. Study hall is used to maintain consistency during travel weeks. Parents receive consistent updates on academic progress, ensuring transparency and accountability. Unlike traditional schools, RPS doesn’t penalize athletes for travel—it plans for it. The result is that student-athletes stay academically competitive and confident, even during peak travel seasons.
Elite Academics offers a comprehensive range of academic pathways tailored to student strengths and aspirations. Honors courses challenge advanced learners through accelerated content and deeper subject exploration. AP courses provide rigorous, college-level academic experiences in subjects like English, Calculus, Biology, Physics, and U.S. History. Students who excel academically may enroll in dual-enrollment college courses, allowing them to earn university credit while still in high school. These pathways give athletes a significant advantage in college admissions, demonstrating academic rigor and commitment. Advisors help students choose the right course sequence based on athletic schedules, academic strengths, and long-term college goals. Whether a student aims for Ivy League universities or top athletic programs, our academic options ensure they are fully prepared.
Yes—RPS Academies proudly welcomes international student-athletes from around the world. As a global sports academy and boarding school, we provide comprehensive support for non-U.S. families. This includes I-20 documentation for F-1 student visas, arrival coordination, airport pickup, academic placement testing, and English language support. Our campus is highly diverse, creating a welcoming environment where international students quickly integrate socially and academically. Teachers and staff provide additional tutoring and ESL assistance when needed. Advisors help families adjust to the U.S. educational system, and residential staff ensure students receive day-to-day support in housing, meals, safety, and well-being. International students thrive here because RPS provides the structure, community, and individualized care that helps them succeed academically, athletically, and culturally.
Boarding life at RPS Academies is intentionally structured to reinforce academic consistency, time management, and independence. Students live in supervised dormitories with dorm parents and staff present 24/7 to support student well-being. Evenings include mandatory study hall where students focus on homework and academic responsibilities in a quiet, structured environment. Teachers and tutors are available for additional help as needed. The boarding environment encourages study habits, accountability, and balance, helping athletes maintain strong academic performance despite heavy training loads. It also eliminates long commutes, giving students more time for rest, schoolwork, and training. Many families choose boarding specifically for these advantages, as it closely mirrors the day-to-day structure of collegiate athletics and prepares students for life on a university campus.
